Finally: Relief for COVID Razor BladE Throat Pain That Won't Go Away

If you've tried everything and still can't swallow without agony, this 10-minute procedure targets the hidden inflammation drugs can't reach

Razor Blade Throat: Is This You?

✓ Feels like you are swallowing razor blades
✓ Burning throat that last for weeks
✓ Sprays, steroids, antibiotics have no effect
✓ Doctors say “it should get better” (but it didn’t)

What EAT Does (in plain English) for Razor Blade COVID:

Removes infected tissue from the hidden area behind your nose that normal throat exams miss. 10-minute outpatient procedure.

After 1 injection and the EAT, I was a grade 4, the worst. Originally my eustachian tubes were almost completely blocked, lots of inflammation. Goal was to open my tubes, success! – C.F. 2/19/2025

Failed Treatments

You’re not crazy. Your razor blade throat pain is real. Here’s why nothing worked:

"Wait It Out"

Why they failed: Chronic inflammation creates a cycle. Without intervention, it often gets worse, not better. You could try a Neti pot flush and while it may help with sinuses it doesn’t flush out remnants in back of nose or throat. They must be removed manually.

Result Months of unnecessary suffering

Steroids (Prednisone)

Why they failed: Reduce inflammation temporarily but can't penetrate biofilms protecting the infected tissue.

Result Temporary improvement, then worse rebound

Salt Water Gargles

Why they failed: Can't reach the epipharynx. Like trying to clean your ear by washing your face.

Result Minimal surface soothing only

Throat Sprays & Lozenges

Why they failed: Only numbs the surface. Your razor blade throat inflammation is behind your nose in the epipharynx - unreachable by sprays. Or hidden behind a layer of mucus instead of behind your nose.

Result 10 minutes of relief (maybe), then back to agony

Antibiotics

Why they failed: Your COVID variant razor blade throat is viral/fungal, not bacterial. Antibiotics are useless and may make it worse.

Result No improvement, possible gut damage

ENT Specialists

Why they failed: Standard throat exams (without a scope) miss epipharyngeal razor blade throat inflammation. They can't treat what they can't see.

Result "Everything looks normal" while you suffer

The Real Problem:

Your inflammation is in the epipharynx – the hidden area behind your nose that connects to your throat. Standard treatments can’t reach it. Standard exams  for razor blade covid symptoms can’t see it. That’s why you’re still suffering.

Ahhh, the EAT, I knew I was inflamed and Dr Groysman confirmed that with a top score of Grade 4, the ugliest😁! I will need another EAT done so I am hoping to take my son along so he can get relief also! Save yourself some time and money, go see Doc and his staff! Ever so Grateful.

I came for an epipharyngeal abrasion to help my long covid. I had two treatments 5 days apart and we could see the inflammation in my pharynx. A few days later, I noticed that my periodic bouts of feeling unwell hadn’t been happening and my ear, which felt funny since my last covid had improved.

- Lisa R.

It was a 39 month journey with more than 50 doctors/therapists. The EAT procedures were able to get rid of all the focal inflammation, so my son was able to further progress to get rid of the POTS symptoms.

The EAT Solution: What Actually Works

Epipharyngeal Abrasive Therapy – the only treatment that reaches the real problem

What does the EAT procedure treat?
It will treat any ENT (ear, nose, and throat) problem such as pressure headaches, face pain, stuffy nose, post nasal drip, as well as those caused by dysautonomia.   It may also help with CFS/ME.  Dr. Groysman believes that the EAT procedure works synergistically with the SGB procedure.  It can treat the missing gaps that SGB misses.
What's your actual success rate? How do I know this will work for me?

Our clinic data: Patients report significant improvement after 4-6 EAT sessions. Most see some improvement within 48-72 hours.

Best candidates: Patients with chronic throat pain lasting 4+ weeks, especially after COVID, who haven’t responded to conventional treatments.

During your consultation, we’ll examine your throat with our endoscope. If we can see inflammation in your epipharynx, EAT has an excellent chance of helping you.

What side effects do you see after an EAT procedure?
You may experience some discomfort of burning in the back of your nose.  The amount depends on how inflamed your epipharynx is.  Soreness typically lasts for 1-2 days after the procedure.  One idea to reduce this is to use a regular saline nasal spray and gargling with a 1/2 teaspoon of salt dissolved in warm water.
Does the procedure hurt? What's the recovery like?

During treatment: Your throat is numbed with topical anesthetic. Most patients describe mild pressure, not pain. The procedure takes 10-15 minutes.

After treatment: Mild soreness for 1-2 days (like after a dental cleaning). You can return to normal activities immediately. Many patients notice improvement within 48 hours.

I live far from Texas. Is it worth traveling for this?

Many patients fly in from across the country. We can often schedule multiple treatments in one week to minimize travel.

Initial consultation can be done via telemedicine to determine if you’re a good candidate before you travel.

Consider this: If you’ve been suffering for months and tried everything else, a few days in Texas could end your pain permanently.

Is this a legitimate or experimental procedure?

EAT has 50+ years of clinical use in Japan with over 600,000 procedures performed annually. It’s standard care there for chronic throat inflammation.

Why it’s not FDA-approved in the US: The FDA approval process costs millions and takes decades. Japanese clinics have been successfully using EAT since the 1970s – it’s proven, just not profitable enough for US pharmaceutical companies to pursue approval.

What if EAT doesn't work for me? Do you offer any guarantees?

We’re confident in EAT’s effectiveness, but every patient is different. During your consultation, we’ll honestly assess whether you’re likely to benefit.

If you don’t see ANY improvement after 2 treatments, we’ll work with you on next steps and alternative approaches. Our goal is your relief, not just collecting fees.

Most patients know within 72 hours of their first treatment whether EAT is working for them.
